First things first: take a breath.
Finding out you’re pregnant can bring up a lot of emotions. Maybe it’s a complete surprise. Maybe you’re feeling scared, overwhelmed, or even numb. No matter how you're feeling, it’s valid. You are not alone.
At Image Clear Ultrasound, we meet women every day who are asking the same question: “What happens next?”
Here’s what we want you to know:
1. You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out Today
Seeing a positive test result can make it feel like you need to decide everything immediately. But the truth is, you have time.
Take a moment to breathe. Let yourself feel whatever comes up. When you're ready, start gathering information and talk with people you trust.
This is your story, and you deserve support at every step.
2. Confirm the Pregnancy
Before making any big decisions, it is important to know if the pregnancy is viable and located correctly.
At ICU, we offer free services to help you get the answers you need, including:
Lab-quality pregnancy tests
Limited obstetric ultrasounds (to confirm how far along you are and if the pregnancy is developing normally)
Private, confidential, and judgment-free support
Sometimes, a positive pregnancy test does not always mean an ongoing pregnancy. An ultrasound gives you real information to help guide your next steps.
3. Understand Your Options
Whether you are considering parenting, abortion, or adoption, having clear and honest information matters. We will walk through your options with you, giving you space to make the decision that feels right for you, without pressure or judgment.
You do not have to figure it out alone.
4. Focus on Your Health
Now is a good time to take care of your body and mind.
If you are sexually active, getting tested for STDs is an important step, even if you do not notice symptoms. Some infections can impact your health during pregnancy, and we can connect you with referrals for testing and care if you need it.
Taking care of your overall health can also make a difference. Eat nourishing foods, get enough rest, stay active, and find healthy ways to manage stress.
Small steps toward taking care of yourself really do matter.
5. You’re Not Alone
We understand this might not have been the path you expected.
But no matter what you are feeling or where your journey leads, we are here for you.
You will find a safe and private place to ask questions, learn about your options, and get the support you need.
Want to Talk?
We are here for you. No cost, no insurance required, and absolutely no pressure — just real care and support.
